Dale McDowell and Ahnna Parkhurst Attend Cochran Motor Speedway

February 28th, 2016 - On Saturday night Team Dillon Racing made the trip to Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) with Dale McDowell running in the Super Late Model division while Ahnna Parkhurst was pulling double duty in both Super and Crate Late Model divisions. Sending the top five qualifiers out of each group into the A-Main, Ahnna and Dale both secured there spot for the main event with the 2nd and 3rd fastest times. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, McDowell was slated to start from 3rd while Ahnna was one row back in 5th. Improving one position, Dale scored a runner-up finish behind Brandon Overton with Casey Roberts, Jordy Nipper, and Riley Hickman rounding out the top five. Ahnna held on to a top ten finish placing 10th in the A-Main.

After recording the 21st fastest time in a field of thirty-one Crate Late Models, Parkhurst retired early from 40-lap A-Main with 13 laps remaining and was credited a 17th place finish.

The following night in a field of twenty-one Super Late Models, Dale locked his spot into the main event with the 2nd fastest qualifying time in his group. Failing to secure her spot via qualifying, Ahnna earned a 14th place starting spot for the A-Main based off her consolation performance. Battling for another $5,000 payday, Parkhurst advanced three spots recording a 11th place finish while McDowell fell back to a 16th place outing. (Richard Barnes Photo)

Competing in Sunday’s NeSmith Winter Shootout sanctioned Daytime Duel, Ahnna Parkhurst fell two positions short of a transfer spot in qualifying with the 7th fastest time. Recording a 6th place finish in her consolation event, Parkhurst earned a 20th place starting spot for the feature. Paying $2,500 to the winner, Ahnna worked her way through the field four positions in the 50-lap affair registering a 16th place finish.
