McDowell and Parkhurst Travel to EAMS for National 100

November 6th, 2016 - On Friday night both Dale McDowell and Ahnna Parkhurst traveled to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) for the 42nd Annual National 100. With 38 Super Late Models signed in for the unsanctioned weekend, McDowell timed in 9th fastest in his qualifying group sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 6 into the opening night A-Main, Dale landed a 3rd place finish. Coming from the 18th-starting spot, Dale McDowell charged through the field 16 spots notching a runner-up finish behind Tim McCreadie with Jason Hiett, Ivedent Lloyd Jr., and Chase Junghans rounding out the Top 5.

On Saturday in a field of 39 cars, McDowell secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature with the 4th fastest qualifying time in his group. Earning the 7th-starting position, Dale fell two spots in the 42-lapper registering a 9th place finish. (Heath Lawson Photo)

For the final night of the National 100, Dale secured a front row starting spot for the finale via his performances the previous night’s.  Hanging on to a Top 10 finish, McDowell dropped back to a 9th place outing in the 100-lapper.

In the Crate Late Model division, Ahnna logged the 14th fastest time in qualifying transferring her into the B-Main for a final chance at the main event. Sending the Top 4 out of the consolation event, Parkhurst logged a 6th place outing.
