On Saturday night Dale McDowell headed to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) while Ahnna Parkhurst was pulling double duty in the Crate and Sportsman divisions at Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Georgia). In a field of 36 cars for the Southern All Star Series sanctioned Rockin’ with the Stars 50, McDowell was running in 2nd in his heat race until he suffered powers issues sending him into the pits. Unable to diagnose the problems with his fuel pick up, Dale was prevented from making it out for his B-Main bringing an early end to his weekend.

During the same night at Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Georgia), Parkhurst timed in third fastest overall in the Crate Late Model division earning her the 3rd-starting position for the feature. After running in a podium spot throughout the feature, Ahnna got stuck behind a wreck near the midway point ending her night abruptly. Following a 2nd place finish in her heat race in the 602 Sportsman ranks, Ahnna Parkhurst wheeled her way to her first career win in the A-Main topping Tyler Mimbs, Terry Lumley, Shannon Graham, and Gene Thompson at the finish line.
